He was born on April 2, 1970 in Konotop, Sumy Region.
At the age of seven, he went to the 1st grade of the Konotop Secondary School of I-III Levels No. 14. After graduating in 1985, he studied for three years as a carpenter at the Konotop Vocational and Technical School No. 4. Later, from 1988, he worked at the Konotop Car Repair Company at the factory, in his spare time he trained dogs.
From February 2015 to July 2016, he was in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, on March 23, 2022, he went to war as part of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a machine gunner.
During the battles for the city of Kryvyi Rih, together with his assistant, he took a position to cover his comrades who were getting into an armored personnel carrier (APC). They destroyed many enemies, thus saving the lives of their comrades, but an enemy projectile arrived, as a result of which his assistant died immediately, Volodymyr Kutsopal was wounded.
Died on April 5, 2022 during a battle with Russian invaders in the village of Osokorivtsi of Novovorontsov district, Kherson region.
The farewell ceremony for Volodymyr Kutsopal took place on April 9, 2022, in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Konotop.
